"I used this as a workshop piece to introduce my JHS actors to theater in the round. It was a good play to help the actors develop the improvisational nature of the theater in the round blocking. It offered an interesting interplay of characters, especially Alice, who wavers between the strong personalities of Harriet and Meg. The actors were able to incorporate this into the blocking by having Alice move toward who she was agreeing with more at the time. The cast was able to transport this play from our performance space to the local (no longer used) train station -- where the play was performed. This is an interesting play that the actors connected to and were excited about. It was an effective workshop piece for working on dramatic acting and theater in the round tecniques for young actors."
