A collection of six mini-one acts, all approximately five minutes in length, that provides teenage girls with challenging vehicles to express emotional variety and character development. The sets are as basic as two chairs for auditions or can be expanded for the stage. With its unique situations and compelling, age-appropriate characters, Two Women Scenes for Teens shows the moments that change the lives of six pairs of young women. It can change yours, too. Duets include: 1. Paying Our Respects - Carol and Barbara stand in line at a funeral parlor at the viewing of a quiet classmate who was killed by a drunk driver. They experience a range of emotions from fear to guilt to respect. 2. Consequences - Salesgirl Maureen gets younger sister Tina off the hook when she is caught shoplifting. Maureen is torn between sticking up for her sibling or letting her learn from her mistakes. 3. Surprise Sister - While searching for her biological mother, Stephanie meets Leeza, her unknowing younger sister. The moment is tense, yet heartwarming. 4. Freshman Trap - Just when the audience thinks that innocent freshman Josie has been manipulated by a senior bully named Marsha, the scene ends with a surprising twist. Don't underestimate the underdog! 5. Who's The Loser, Now? - Donna cleverly sets up bigoted Leslie to admit to framing "Ted the Meathead" with the drugs that led to his suspension. Never mess with a girl's stepbrother! 6. Rambo-Ella - A misunderstanding turns into a bonding moment for a pregnant teen.
