Nightingaelsong was chosen with a special purpose in mind. I wanted a unique title for a unique play, inspired by, The Nightingale. The Celtic spelling reflects my own heritage and the Gael's were deeply connected to the forest and its creatures and trees, all of which figure into this play. It seemed the best choice for the thread that unites the play. Also, if the director and designer wish to incorporate Celtic design into the production, it would be exciting and quite beautiful.
