What could be scarier on Halloween than hearing strange voices at your door? What if those voices were your parents—checking up on you after you've been grounded and told not to have any company? Worse yet, what if they're not your parents? With her parents gone and her younger brothers asleep upstairs, Lara's got her own brand of tricks and treats in store! Break out the tofu and decaf, bring over the boyfriend, and call up some girlfriends. But they're not the only ones who show up. Witty one-liners fly on broomsticks through the night as Lara single-handedly fends off witches, ghosts, and goblins and keeps her scaredy-cat friends in line. Can anything save her from a full-fledged disaster? Probably not. A mixture of horror and hilarity brings this party—and this play—to a surprising conclusion.
