Newlyweds Rachel and Archie Conrad’s dream of running a successful mystery book store is turning into a nightmare. Three young thugs have targeted the store “Manor of Death” and are trying to drive the Conrads out of “their” neighborhood. What’s worse, Rachel finds a body hidden in the stacks of books. Turns out the victim was the gardener of a very successful, but recently deceased author of mysteries who had been scheduled to speak at Manor of Death. That’s enough for two lady detectives who zero in on Rachel as their Prime Suspect. However, she and Archie quickly find out that the author left behind quite a few suspects at his mansion including his ex-wife and her new boyfriend, his cook, his secretary, and his nephew. In order to clear her name, Rachel must do some fancy detective work and, with the help of some new friends, work a little magic to pull the real killer out of the hat.
