To close out the year of working with an ensemble of actors I'd worked with for two years, I was inspired to explore memories and the kinds of things that linger in our minds and remain vivid connections to the past (and past versions of ourselves) years after the events occurred or the people had passed through out lives.

I've had actors from middle school to community theatre reach out to tell me how much they enjoyed working on this play.

As is true with much of my work, directors should remember that when actors are addressing the audience, the audience is their scene partner. They're not speaking to the other characters onstage. And they should trust that the text will take the audience on the journey, so keep production elements simple.
