SYNOPSIS: Amity, the new kid at Witchgrove High, is trying to make new friends by joining the cast of Macbeth in which she plays a witch. What she doesn't realize is that her new home is haunted by the ghost of Bridget Bascomb, hanged as a witch in 1690. When Amity's dad, who is a doctor being pursued by his very greedy nurse, gives her an unusual antique necklace for her 16th birthday, Bridget appears to let Amity know she will now be the resident witch, complete with all sorts of powers. Amity soon finds herself trying to undo the nurse's spell on her dad and to do that she ends up asking the advice of great lovers like Romeo and Juliet. Unfortunately, they only complicate matters. A spirited comedy that finds a teenage girl learning to be comfortable with who she is—even if she can cast a spell or two.

"This play had a lot of opportunities for some very unique stage experiences. Who wouldn't want to be in a play with a talking cat?"
