SYNOPSIS: Hansel and Gretel live with their father and stepmother at the edge of a deep dark forest. If only they'd get lost, hopes their stepmother. So does their father! These kids, expelled from school and forced by the townspeople to live out of earshot, are incorrigible. Their real mother didn't die—she escaped! Finally—thankfully—the kids run off from a family picnic, but what do they do? Eat a poor old witch out of house and home! Do the kids need to go into foster care? Who would have them? Even the narrator has his hands full trying to stick to this outrageous story.
