SYNOPSIS: During one day in the life of high school senior Beth, she is torn in two very different directions. Her optimistic frame of mind assures her that she will get a date for the prom and will hear back that she has been accepted into the college of her choice. Her pessimistic point of view is blatantly realistic, telling her no guy will ask her to the prom and that she will get rejected by her first-choice college. As Beth has breakfast with her family, goes to school and attends classes, comes home for dinner, and talks to her friend Zoe on the phone that night, Beth is overwhelmed by both the optimistic and pessimistic parts of her minds. By the end of the day, Beth gets answers about both the prom and the college and decides to banish the two voices in her brain.
