What sparked the idea for this play?
I like the idea that we change and adapt our conversation to whomever we are with. I wanted an extreme example of this so I created the “chameleon” princess.

The over-zealous Queen, because she is so over the top.

The first encounter Princess Zena has with the Scholar and her reaction to his reactions.

The obnoxious Queen and her daughters.

It’s all talk, too little action. So keep it moving.

What was the biggest challenge in writing this play?
Keeping the talk lively and funny.
