SYNOPSIS: Barry, a would-be stepfather, is very nervous. He is dating Christine, Sky's mother, who has set aside this special time for Barry and Sky to get to know one another. Barry will be in charge of telling Sky, who likes to be called Sky-Baby, her bedtime story. Sky-Baby has very specific ideas about how stories should be told. She teaches Barry how to raise the stakes and build a character arc, as her bedroom transforms into the mythical village of Foxtown, where the houses are made from grapefruits, and the village is populated by a Nervous Knight, a big giant Monster Person, magical ladies, and Sky-Baby herself. Along the way, Sky-Baby learns to work well with others, to accept people without judging them, and comes to terms with her parents' divorce. This comedic play teaches valuable lessons while having a great deal of fun.

"What impresses me most about the work is its wide appeal. Kids love Sky-Baby for its larger-than-life fairy-tale creatures and playful tone. Adults connect with Barry's struggle to become a part of Sky's life and are carried along by the story and its surprising turns. Children, youth and adults all enjoy this play."
