SYNOPSIS: During a dress rehearsal of Treasure Island put on by the Lofty Elms Academy for Girls, there are two stories being told. One is Robert Louis Stevenson's famous tale of pirates and buried treasure as presented by the all-female cast under the commanding direction of faculty member Mrs. Pettiford. The other story is the backstage intrigue which includes rivals for student council president, who has and had not been accepted by a college, and jealously over which girl is responsible for breaking up another girl's romance. Both Stevenson's tale and the contemporary plot are played side by side with confusing and hilarious results.
