SYNOPSIS: Genya and Iraida are desperate, their father, Rashevitch, never stops talking and his favorite topic, aristocracy; blue blood has become a true obsession for the egotist man! He has scared away the few visitors that happened to drop in to their remote country house, and now the girls are afraid to die old spinsters. They see their last chances in Dmitry, the handsome bank clerk and in the gentle law student, Meier. But will Rashevitch ever accept as sons-in-law two young men from the working class?
