SYNOPSIS: Jack and his cow, Bella, have a show biz act and want to be famous. But Jack has to sell his cow, and that's where the traditional tale sort of takes over. As Jack takes his cow through the forest to market, he runs into the Beanman and other children in the forest, Little Red Riding Hood, Hansel and Gretal, Alice, Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Oz. They all play a part in helping Jack with the Giant and eventually making Jack and Bella singing stars.

This musical adaptation of the Jack and the Beanstalk story was one of the most successful plays produced by Childrens Theatre To Go in its to-date history. Parents told me that children who saw the show sang the "Shuffle Off" song for weeks after the performance. Production history:The premiere of Jack and Bella, From Beanstalk to Broadway was presented by Childrens Theatre To Go, Inc. at Reynolds Performance Hall in Conway, Arkansas, on March 1, 2006, under the direction of Bob May, with set design by Joe Meils, costume design by Nikki Webster, under the stage management of Andi Schultes.
