By Natasha Yannacañedo - Director - Algonquin Theater
The simplicity of just making the decision to live one's life truly resonated with me. The age that we live in often makes us unnecessarily complicate our lives; we obsess and stress about the most absurd things. Just decide to live. So silly, so stupid...and yet so profound.
By James Venhaus - Drama Teacher - St. Mary's Hall
RECONSTRUCTING JULIE was a huge hit in our annual 'Spring Shorts' 10-minute play festival. The play is smart, witty and provided a great challenge to our actors. Audiences loved the play, and it was the highlight of our festival.
Julie is an intelligent young woman who receives an unorthodox diagnosis from her therapist, resulting in a lively, humorous debate about the nature of existence. This fast-paced 10-minute play requires minimal staging and two actors.
