Customer Comments:

The play had funny moments and the kids seemed to really enjoy being a part of the production. We loved the rat and the Queen of Hearts especially as they left room for some real comedic work
By Caitlin Adolph - Director - South Carroll Stagelighters
Alice in Wonderland, no matter the version, is always a challenge. But this script was well written and overall entertaining. It drags at points (the rat, the caterpillar), but overall is a fun piece to work with. There are a lot of options for staging. My students did it very simply, moving rehearsal boxes for their set. It was a fun piece to bring to a State Festival!
A look at the city version of Lewis Carroll's classic story. Alice and her sister go to the park. While her sister is on her cell phone, Alice follows Rabbit down a subway tunnel and encounters a host of strange urban-type characters, including a Rat, a Caterpillar, a Cook, the Queen of Hearts, and a Grinning Cat. She also encounters subway passengers and joggers who speak in rhymes. After a heated courtroom trial in which the Knave of Hearts is accused of stealing the Queen of Hearts grocery cart, Alice returns to her sister in the park.
