| | Tammy Barton has been involved in theatre for over 41 years, both in her birth state of California and in Georgia where she resides today. She is the recipient of the Bank of America Highest Achievement Award in Theatrical Arts and the Press Telegram Arts Award. While in California she developed and directed a highly successful theatre program for the Special Needs High School Students and toured for five years with Cerritos College Childrens Theatre throughout Southern California. She attended Cerritos College and majored in Musical Theatre. Tammy is a former Disney Cast Member, the past Artistic Director of Fayette-Coweta Family Theatre, Inc. and the current owner, Artistic Director of A Company of Friends Theatrical Productions, both based in Coweta County Georgia. She has directed over 150 plays and performed in close to 100 productions nation wide. She acts professionally with ACOF Professional Troupe and is a Teaching Artist with Arts For Learning Atlanta Young Audiences. Tammy has written and produced numerous promotional productions, social awareness plays and workshop productions over the years. When not acting she likes to spend time with her husband of 24 years, Kevin, and her beloved niece and nephew, Haley and Jacob. She enjoys traveling and never misses an opportunity to visit her most favorite place in the universe, Walt Disney World. Tammy presently has two plays with Heuer publishing, A Christmas Carol and The Adventure's of Alice in Wonderland, which she co-wrote with her mother, Gayann Truelove. She looks forward to a long, continued relationship with Heuer for many years to come. | |
