Rachel Bublitz is known for telling stories about women, and creating exciting new work for young performers. She received the Glickman Award for best premiere play in the San Francisco Bay Area for the Z Space premiere of Ripped. In addition to Brooklyn Publishing, her work is published with Dramatic Publishing (The Night Witches), Playscripts (Biz Town and Ghost House), Stage Partners (Of Serpents amp Sea Spray and The Book Women), Pioneer Drama Service (Cheerleaders VS. Aliens), and YouthPLAYS (The Elves and No Talking Allowed!). Additional awards include the Shubert Fendrich Memorial Playwriting Contest and PlayGound's June Anne Baker Prize. Rachel lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she's the Resident Playwright for the Egyptian YouTheatre. She spends most weekends and weeknights watching her kids dominate at water polo.
