Patrick Gabridge

Patrick Gabridge has written numerous plays, including Distant Neighbors, Fire on Earth, Pieces of Whitey, Blinders, and Reading the Mind of God, and more than 50 short plays and one-acts that have been staged in theatres around the world. Both Blinders and Reading the Mind of God were nominated for Best New Play by the Denver Drama Critics Circle. Awards won by Patrick include the Colorado Arts Innovation Award, a Playwriting Fellowship from the Colorado Council on the Arts, the Festival of Emerging American Theatre, the New American Theatre Festival, and the Market House Theatre One-Act Play Award. He's the author of two novels, Tornado Siren and Moving [a life in boxes]. He seems to like to start things: he started Boston's Rhombus writers' group, the Chameleon Stage theatre company in Denver, the Bare Bones Theatre company in New York, the publication Market InSight for Playwrights, and the on-line Playwrights' Submission Binge. Patrick's radio plays have been broadcast on NPR and elsewhere. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild, Rhombus, and StageSource.
