Michael Wehrli
Michael Wehrli has been a theatre professional since 1990, with many years experience in playwrighting, teaching, directing, acting, producing, and theatre administration. He has a B.F.A. in Acting Directing from Texas Christian University. Since 1994, Michael has been the artistic and education director for New Moon Productions Theatre Company (www.newmoonproductions.org).

As a playwright, Michael has written or adapted 25 full-length plays (all of which have been produced) and over eighty short plays and scenes for students. Some of his favorite full-length scripts are A Christmas Chaos, Law amp Disorder, Houston We Have A Problem, Titanic Aftermath (an original script based on survivor accounts - www.titanicaftermath.com), We Open Tomorrow Night?! (a scripted talent show, available at Theatrefolk Publishing), Found Lives (based on the real-life stories of Schizophrenia sufferers), Happy Days in Oz, Snow White: The Melodrama, and Cindy and Ella's Totally Groovy Adventures.

Michael's directing credits include over 150 plays in many venues in Portland, Oregon and the Dallas-Fort Worth area in Texas. As an actor, he has been seen on many stages in Dallas-Fort Worth and Portland, Oregon. His favorite roles include Hamlet in Hamlet, the Third Man in The Baltimore Waltz, Iago in Othello, Stafford in Sisterly Feelings, Scarecrow in Wizard of Oz, and Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing.

Michael currently works as a theatre teacher and director and continues to write, produce and direct shows with New Moon Productions in Portland. His classroom experience is extensive and includes teaching at many venues in Portland Oregon and the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
