Lauren D. Yee is a native San Franciscan and the founder and executive director of the San Francisco Young Playwrights Foundation. Her plays have been produced over three dozen times in the United States and Europe in such cities as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta, Boston, Philadelphia, Seattle, Charlottesville, and Providence. She is a past winner of the California Young Playwrights Festival, the National Blank Theatre Young Playwrights Festival, and the Connecticut Young Playwrights Festival. In addition to her work with Brooklyn Publishers, Lauren has also been published by Meriwether Publishing and Smith & Kraus.
