Ken Jones

Ken JonesKen Jones is an award winning playwright and screenwriter. Jones served as head writer and associate producer for Lightpoint Entertainment producing television shows at DisneyMGM Studios. Ken received his BFA from the University of Florida, an MFA in playwriting from the University of Virginia and he graduated in playwriting from the Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University. Jones participated in the Warner Bros. Television Writers Workshop and went on to write for Warner Bros. and Paramount. His play, A RED EAGLE FALLING, was produced Off-Broadway in New York Citys WRITERS THEATRE in 1986, and in 1989, TIME magazine chose Ken Jones play, DARKSIDE for its Critics Choice. Jones has had national and international productions of his 27 produced plays, with 9 published, 4 CDs and listings in several anthologies and monologue books. He has received an Emmy nomination, a Telly Award, a Communicators Award, and the Post-Corbett award for Best Literary Artist, the Dupont Fellowship, the Kentucky Commonwealth Theatre Award, the Kentucky Playwrights Award, the Trailblazer Award, and seven Acclaim Awards He is an active member of the Dramatist Guild.
