E. Jack Williams

E. Jack WilliamsUpon graduation from the University of Minnesota, Duluth, in 1969, I moved to Waseca, Minnesota to accept a teaching position in media, speech, and theater which included directing plays. It has been truly rewarding for me and my family. I’ve directed elementary, junior, and senior high school productions as well as Community Theater. My wife, Mary and I have raised five wonderful children and are now proud grandparents of eight grandchildren. After 43 years of directing over 150 plays, I’m often asked which play is my favorite and the answer is always, “the one I’m working on”. Mary refers to our new adventures as “pudding”.(This comes from a line in THE MATCHMAKER when Cornelius and Barney travel to New York City to experience new adventures or “pudding”.) Writing plays has become our “pudding”. In 1991 I was the recipient of the Minnesota’ Arc of Excellence Community Media Award for writing a play on bullying called CARL. Additional plays I have written include, TO THE LEFT OF THE MOON, and WHO’S IN CHARGE? or RODNEY, THE ULTIMATE GIFT TO THEATER.
