Carolyn Nur Wistrand is an award-winning playwright and educator. Her dramatic works have been produced in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Dallas, New Orleans, Savannah, Phoenix, Detroit, and Atlanta. She has won numerous national playwriting awards and is a recipient of a National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Fellowship and a National Endowment for the Arts grant. Carolyn is a member of the Dramatists Guild, International Center Women Playwrights, Playwrights Center of Minneapolis, and The Schomburg Center in New York City. Carolyn lectures online in The Dept. of Africana Studies, University of Michigan-Flint and is an Assistant Professor in the English Program, Dillard University, New Orleans.
