| | | Anyone who has listened to Rio Clemente play the piano has come away in awe. This master pianist mixes a strong classical background with a rich knowledge of jazz history, adding an amazing sense of creativity and interpretation. The result is music different from all others that nearly always produces a standing ovation and cries for more. When reviewers stumble for words to describe his work, it's because words fail to convey the rich depth of character, nimble facility of play and ease with which his music is crafted and performed. Rio brings something very special and decidedly unequaled to the piano. As a member of BMI (Broadway Music, Inc.), he won a scholarship to the Lehman Engel musical workshop. He was a staff writer for Southern Music NYC and has written music for four musicals, in addition to hundreds of songs, with many hits to his credit. He resides in Randolph, NJ with his wife, Carolyn. | |
