| |  Michael Callahan is a writer, actor, and director who lives in Lompoc, California. He is currently directing his latest mystery, Master of Disguise, for Lompoc Civic Theatre. His plays have been performed in a variety of milieus from California to New York. In addition to main-stage and dinner theater he has written short plays that have been performed for organizations including the Lompoc Museum, Historical society, Elks Club, Masonic Lodge, Arts and Crafts Show, and groups, including American Association of University Women, National Association for Retired Federal Employees, and Senior's organizations. His play A Short History of Woodstock Christ Lutheran Church (1806-2006) was produced in Woodstock (NY) and celebrated the church's 200th anniversary. The Town Meeting was selected by The Arvada Center for the Performing Arts for their Playwright's Showcase in Colorado, and The Adobe Players picked it for the California Central Coast Play Festival. His short play Escape was selected by the Lakeshore Players Theater for their 10-minute Play Festival, and Auditions Can Be Murder won an honorable mention award in the Writer's Digest annual playwriting contest. | |
