Casey Kasparek

Born and raised in rural Iowa, Kasparek received an undergraduate education at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. Upon graduation he lived in Europe, primarily in Italy and refined his artistic focus. Since the year 2000, Kasparek has participated in over twenty exhibitions, including a show at the prestigious Amsterdam Whitney Gallery of New York City. In addition to his outstanding exhibition record, Kasparek's list of collectors is worldwide. His strongest patrons reside primarily in the midwest region; however, private collections as far as Asia and Europe contain his original works. In early 2005, Kasparek and Heuer Publishing formed a new working partnership to develop original art that defines and enhances the plays and musicals that Heuer publishes. Mr. Kasparek has since created over 60 original pieces of art for the playbills and productions. In late 2005, Kasparek teamed up with artist Jeff Martinovici and completed two paintings for the new restaurant blend. Both six-by-twelve foot paintings were executed in oil paint and completed in seven weeks. In addition to the large murals, Kasparek has nine other abstracts on permenant display at the trendy eatery. Fighting self-destruction in early 2007, Kasparek set his sights on bringing a years old idea to fruition. In March, Kasparek unveiled the UNcover exhibition in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The show consisted of 100 works from 30 artists from fourteen states and three countries. It was deemed a local and personal success. Currently, Kasparek is moving towards his most ambitious project to date. With a working title of "Transformation," leading up to a series of 15 larger than life paintings entitled "The Second Coming of Christ."
