| | | Carol Roper is an award-winning writer who has written for and worked with, Academy Award-winning actor, Robin Williams, the Disney Studios, NBC, ABC, United Artist, and others. She taught writing at the University of Southern California and the University of California, San Diego. Her anti-war play, The Current Rage received the prestigious Office for Advanced Drama Research Rockefeller Honorarium and had productions in San Francisco and in New York. Recently, her full length play, Alligators, a comedy of family rivalry, death and alligators, received a staged reading hosted by the Colorado Theatre Guild. She is a supporting member of the American Academy of Poets and a lifetime member of the Writer’s Guild of America.Carol produces professionally staged readings for the Bemis Public Library in Littleton, Colorado where she lives. Her goal is to successfully increase an appetite for theatre in those who previously had little or no interest in it, and to encourage those who would like to write, act or direct for the theatre. | |
