But Jim's tired of cooking up monsters and scaring readers. He wants to be himself and write what interests him - like the history of fire engines. This terrifies his teenage daughters Hannah and Madison into hatching a plot to get Jim back in the mood to write more horror. Hannah insists her birthday slumber party with four friends be held at Sunnyside Inn, perched high on a cliff at the edge of the sea. Bringing along enough props for a horror movie, the girls plan to scare their dad stiff by introducing him to the ghost of a hatchet murderess. What they don't realize is that a psychic has already found a ghost at Sunnyside - much to the dismay of the owner and the nervous old coot who wants to buy the place. Soon, ghosts begin appearing everywhere and Jim seems to be the only one who's not scared stiff. Plenty of silly characters, loads of action - a great family show!

Have you ever seen a stranger and wondered, could this be the love of my life? The one I've been waiting for? Mister or Miss Right! Here, in New York City's Port Authority Bus Terminal, a man and a woman eye each other from a distance, very cautiously at first, and then with growing interest. They never speak to each other, but we hear their thoughts, and see their sideward glances, progressing from a passing interest, to full blown love, to dreaded fear and loathing, and, finally, to abject contempt and burning hatred. All the while two street people look on, interpreting what they see completely differently. Proving, in the end, that reality, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder.

About Brooklyn Publishers www.brookpub.com
Brooklyn Publishers has been a strong source of comedy and dramatic plays for high school, middle school, and youth theatre for over a decade. Our reputation for powerful, well-written, yet easy-to-produce stage plays has grown each year.

In addition to our many quality full length and one act plays, we offer the largest selection of ten minute plays and theatre books on the market. Our plays have won countless contests and awards and have been recognized for their dynamic plot twists, multi-dimensional characters, and overall strong writing.

Anyone conducting a school drama program realizes the fine line involving the selection of plays to produce. On the one hand, it must be a show that sparks the attention of your students. In today's extra-curricular-friendly schools, there will always be competition for your actors' time and dedication. On the other hand, no teacher wants to produce a 1st-rate show, then face outraged parents, teachers, or administration because of language or content. That's why we provide powerful, cutting-edge scripts that will thrill students and please adults.

Whether you're seeking plays for stage production or drama competition, you've come to the right place to fulfill all your dramatic needs. If you desire play recommendations, we're happy to help you find the perfect work for your school. Our entire staff looks forward to helping you and your drama program have the best year ever.
